Avionics Application Development

One of the most important advantages Fastek has to offer our customers is a structured and disciplined development life cycle called FASTEK-178. FASTEK-178 extracts the important aspects of an industry standard and improves upon it by incorporating Fastek experiences, streamlines it by tailoring it to Fastek engineering procedures, and optimizes it by taking Fastek Configurable Automated Test Station (CATS) into the development process from the very start.

For application software development, Fastek implements a Product Life Cycle compliant to the FASTEK-178 process standard and specifically tailored to the appropriate level of rigor required by the customer and is compliant with the customer’s processes and deliverable criteria.

Fastek’s implementation of this process and participation in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) with the customers and other vendors/subcontractors:

• Insures the level of integrity imposed by the life cycle is commensurate with customers’ expectations
• Provides transparency to Fastek’s program status and progress
• Reduces or eliminates the creation and overhead of highly detailed, labor-intensive metrics reporting since each customer has complete visibility and access to problem reports, configuration management, release plans and data, and, more importantly, our customers actively participate in the Avionics Change Control Board
